Both have moderate cushioning in the ball/heel to reduce shock, impact and blisters. There is light cushioning in arch for better fit and comfort and a wider toe box for better fit. Both are a durable blend of Thorlo's exclusive THORnLON Acrylic and Nylon. The "Over-the-Calf" height features a spandex top to help them stay in place all day and an extended heel pad for extra durability. The Mid-calf" height features 16% cotton for maximum comfort.
